On a weekend that featured the Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals in a four-game series at Wrigley Field, the MLB Hall of Fame welcomed former Cub and Cardinal closer Bruce Sutter.I remember watching Sutter pitch during a game at Wrigley in the late 70s. When he came into the game, you could feel the excitement in the air. It was electric.
Also inducted into the Hall of Fame are 17 members of the Negro League, including Effa Manley, a white woman who owned one of the most successful teams, the Newark Eagles.
